The Adventures of Little Buddy
When he awoke Little Buddy was in the hands of a stranger. He had seen this
person before and he did not seem like a bad guy, but all Little Buddy really
knew is he was not with Tim and things did not feel right. This new guy tried to
corrupt Little Buddy, taking him to the bar even though it was 4:00 in the
morning. Fortunately for Little Buddy the bar was closed but he still found
himself standing there in the dark with a cigarette in his mouth. The stranger
was taking pictures of Little Buddy and then he placed him on top of a
chandelier next to the bar. The stranger took a few more pictures and then he
just left Little Buddy standing on the chandelier all alone again. This time
Little Buddy did not fall to sleep, he was afraid he would fall off his perch
and besides he did not want to miss seeing Tim as he knew that Tim must be
worried about him. With the sun starting to come up Little Buddy knew it was
just a matter of time and his big buddy Tim would be down for breakfast. Surely
Tim would see his Little Buddy and get him down and keep him safe. Soon people
started gathering around and Little Buddy could smell that breakfast was getting
ready. It would not be long now and his big buddy Tim would be there and get him
down. Some more time had passed and Little Buddy watched as most of the people
he had seen the last few days had showed up for breakfast, but where was Tim?
Finally Little Buddy heard that familiar laugh and looked down to see Tim. "Tim,
up here" he yelled but Tim could not hear him and walked in to get some food.
Little Buddy thought "how could he want food when he knows I am missing?" Then
things got even worse when Tim came back outside and started to eat. Little
Buddy saw that Tim had a plate full of eggs and he could not believe his eyes
when he saw Tim start eating the eggs, how could he eat yet alone eat eggs? When
Tim was finished eating he headed to the bus to go fishing, did he forget about
his Little Buddy? What would happen to him?
Just
then the stranger returned and put Little Buddy inside his backpack. It was dark
in there and smelled like electronics. Little Buddy could not see what happened
next, it would have made him feel better if he had. It seems that someone on the
bus told Tim that Little buddy was up on the chandelier. Tim quickly went back
to where he was sitting but to his horror there was no Little Buddy. Tim noticed
that the chandelier was still swinging, had Little Buddy run away? "Did he see
me eating the eggs" Tim thought. Tim headed back to the bus and rode down to the
dock to go fishing, He did not notice the stranger with the backpack nor could
he have known how close he was to his Little Buddy. If only Little Buddy could
make some noise, would someone please bump against the stranger's backpack so
the Little Buddy would be heard. He knew Tim was just a few feet from him. When
they got to the dock the stranger kept his distance from Tim but when it was
time to load on the boat LB could not believe his luck, Tim was on the same boat
with LB, would they get to spend the day together after all? LB's dreams were
quickly shattered when the stranger opened the backpack enough for LB to see Tim
getting into a different boat. That was when things started to get really
strange.

"Tim, can you hear me?"

Tim finally did get hi Little Buddy back and the good news is
Little Buddy will be staying with Tim until next year's Superior Hardwoods
Fishing Tournament.
